The Wizard of Wines, Barovia’s only source of comfort, stands on the brink of destruction. A fanatical group of druids have overrun the vineyards, turning them into a battleground of blights and despair.
The Wizard of Wines is a cornerstone of Barovian life, nestled amidst the misty, rolling hills south of Krezk. For centuries, it has been the sole producer of wine in the land—a rare source of joy and comfort in Strahd’s oppressive domain. However, the winery’s survival is now under dire threat. A group of fanatical druids, serving the land’s dark powers, have overrun the estate with the intent of destroying its legacy. Their attacks, bolstered by hordes of blight creatures, have corrupted the once-thriving vineyards, leaving the Martikov family—the stewards of the winery—desperate and in need of help.
Key Areas
The Wizard of Wines is a sprawling estate with several areas of significance:
The Vineyards: Once flourishing, the rows of grapevines are now twisted and overgrown, corrupted by the druids’ magic and infested with blight creatures.
The Village of Krezk is a secluded, tight-knit community nestled against the towering, mist-covered mountains of Barovia. Enclosed by thick stone walls, the village exists in a near-constant state of quiet isolation, guarded from the darker forces that plague the land.
The Town of Vallaki is a major location central to numerous aspects of Curse of Strahd. This ReinKarnated chapter of the adventure is especially huge with 17 maps with gridded and labeled variants, 30 NPC portaits and tokens, and 10 scenery renditions.
