Palebank Village, the first Uthodurn outpost beyond the mountains, is located on the cold shore of the Frigid Depths against the low cliff boundary of the Crystalsands Tundra.
The village's inhabitants engage in ice fishing, trapping, and hunting and travel to Uthodurn to sell their goods and restock their supplies. To protect the people from territorial monsters, rotating squads of Glassblades are assigned. The docks have been expanded to cater to the growing interest in heading northwest toward Eiselcross, making Palebank a launching point for northern expeditions.
The ramshackle village of Palebank is surrounded by a ten-foot-tall palisade of sharpened logs and four watchtowers. The village consists of cabins and shacks and lacks distinct neighborhoods, resulting in a meandering layout. The docks, located off the northern cliff and about fifteen feet down to the sand-and-snow beach, accommodate around a dozen ships, ranging from fishing vessels to small cargo ships that carry expeditions to and from Eiselcross. The perpetual winter and proximity to dangerous monsters make Palebank a challenging place to live.

Amid the frozen wastelands of Eiselcross, shrouded by snow and ice, lies the crash site of Aeor, a city of ancient marvels brought low by divine wrath. Once a flying city-state, Aeor now sits entombed beneath the ice, scattered across the hostile landscape of Foren.
The continent of Wildemount is a setting originally created by Matthew Mercer as the setting for the second campaign of Critical Role. Though it's just one continent in the larger world of Exandria, Wildemount is teeming with varied cultures, locales, peoples, and monsters.
