Nestled in the northmost region of the Crystalsands Tundra, a mystery is brewing in Palebank Village.

Village leader Elro Aldatuar is growing very worried. The explorer Urgon Wenth recently returned from the frozen reaches of Eiselcross and a strange malady has turned him into a statue of ice.

The adventurers who recently arrived in Palebank will have to unravel the mystery while contending with the forces of the Uttolots, one of the crime families that control Shadycreek Run. More infected locals are discovered, including one more already dead, before the characters clear Uttolot thugs out of a local cavern complex called Croaker Cave.

During their investigations into what caused Urgon's untimely death, the party will likely explore Urgon's cabin, which will hold clues that lead to the cabin of Tulgi Lutan and Pelc's Curiosities. Tulgi has already contracted the Frigid Woe, though she does not yet realize it. Velra Pelc has already succumbed and suffered the same fate as Urgon Wenth. Since her death, Pelc's Curiosities has been ransacked and robbed by Uttolot bandits sent looking for a cure for Tulgi by her sister, Hulil Lutan.
