Caldrith Vaelor

Caldrith Vaelor

Shipwrecked and left for dead, Caldrith Vaelor lives on the cliffs, speaking with the winds and tides. Some say he is mad—others believe he sees the future.

Rich

Name: Caldrith Vaelor
Race: Human
Class/Role: Hermit, Storm-Seer, Former Navigator
Age: 61
Appearance: Caldrith Vaelor has weathered skin tanned and cracked from years beneath the sun and salt air. His long silver-streaked hair is permanently wind-tousled, and his storm-gray eyes shift like the turbulent sea, reflecting light in an unsettling way.

His beard is wild and untrimmed, braided with bits of seashells and driftwood charms. He wears layered robes of tattered blue and gray, stitched together from ship sails and scavenged cloth. Around his neck hangs a pendant of polished sea glass, its surface constantly damp, even in dry air. His bare feet are calloused from decades of walking jagged cliffs, yet he moves with purpose and grace, as though guided by unseen currents.

Backstory

Caldrith Vaelor was once a renowned navigator and cartographer, guiding merchant ships through treacherous waters with uncanny precision. He claimed to hear the whispers of the ocean, guiding his decisions like an unseen hand on the helm.

But then came the storm.

A tempest unlike any he had ever known swallowed his vessel, dragging the ship and crew to the abyss. Caldrith alone washed ashore on the jagged cliffs, battered but alive. He should have drowned, should have perished with his crew, but something called him back.
